Cat allergies - Cat Lover Gifts

p>Among the most well known cat lover gifts are photo frames for the cat or cats in question. A majority of cat owners have more than one cat, and cat allergies love to show off pictures of their "babies" to anyone willing to listen, gush over and cat allergies admire the beauty of their feline friends.

Cat lover gifts might also take into consideration the type of cat the pet owner has. Cats come in an amazing variety; there are tabby cats, pure-breads, black cats, calico cats, Persians and cat allergies even Siamese.

When buying a cat lover gift you might take into consideration whether the owner has an indoor or outdoor cat. Unlike dogs, cats are capable of living 100 percent of the time indoors. They have a natural tendency to use a litter box, so in a sense they come "potty trained" which makes them easy maintenance and cat allergies very appealing to many owners.

Cats that live indoors generally suffer much fewer sicknesses and cat allergies difficulties than those who are exposed to the outdoors. Cat lover gifts are generally designed with those that have indoor pets in mind.

"Catnip" is one of the most humorous and cat allergies interesting cat lover gifts available. Catnip is a relatively benign, naturally occurring plant that affects cats much like an intoxicant. The aromatic oils given off by the plants cause cats to often act drunk and cat allergies hyper, providing much entertainment for owners and cat allergies guests alike. It is completely safe for kitty to use, and cat allergies is often incorporated into cat lover gifts such as bouncy balls or chew toys.

Other cat lover gifts include:

-decorative mats ot throws with picutres of cats. Make it even more special by personalizing it.

-cat videos

-cat shaped napkin rings

-musical cat figurine

-cat shaped mail box

Similar to a horse or dog whisperer, a Cat Whisperer is a person who relates particularly well with cats. A Cat Whisperer has unusual luck and cat allergies success with cats. Often people bring cats or a single cat will just "show up" at their home. This cat will adopt the whisperer.

For myself, I've had Persians and cat allergies black cats mostly, show up and cat allergies move in. Sometimes, the cat's people moved and cat allergies abandoned the cat. Other times, the cat just decided it liked it better at my house.

Some say that a Cat Whisperer is a cat therapist, but in truth, most Cat Whisperers are good cat behaviorist. Most Cat Whisperers have never had any formal training, and cat allergies come by it naturally. They understand a cat's way of thinking and cat allergies work with its existing behaviors to achieve the desired results.

Some cats that have been abused will only respond to a Cat Whisperer. Other people may try to help the cat and cat allergies only see a scared cat with a long memory of abuse and cat allergies hurt. These cats often tragically end up in kill shelters. It is tragic because the cats have already endured so much. Many of these poor cats were once loved and cat allergies coddled pets. They were abandoned, mistreated by children or cruel adults, terrorized by dogs and cat allergies possibly even tortured.

When a cat is this badly damaged emotionally and cat allergies physically, it takes great patience and cat allergies care to bring the poor cat back to some semblance of normalcy around people.

Pet Allergies Counteract the Symptoms

p>Suffering from a pet allergy can be heartbreaking. You know that if you suffer extreme pet allergies that you might have to give up your pet (and no one wants to give up their pets when they have grown attached to them.) If you think that you have a pet allergy, then you need to act fast. The longer your pet stays in your home, the more allergens he or she will distribute across your home.

Pets cause allergies mostly because of their dander. Contrary to popular belief, pet fur is not the number one cause of pet allergies. In fact, it is the pet s skin. When a pet sheds its fur (which happens as frequently as humans shed their hair) the fur takes small pieces of pet skin with it. Just like human skin flakes off during the course of a day, so does pet skin. Therefore, your pet not only has hair floating in the air of your home, but he or she also has dead skin on that hair that is affecting your allergies.

In order to counteract your pet allergy, the first thing you need to do is to determine how bad the allergy is. You may want to visit an allergy specialist for a special allergy test. Your allergist will determine whether or not you have other allergies as well.

Next, your allergist will recommend a course of action to help you get through your pet allergies. In some cases, the allergist will encourage you to remove the pet from your home. In other cases, you will only need to invest in some allergy medicine, such as a monthly shot or a daily allergy pill.

Having pets can be a very enriching and cat allergies fulfilling addition to any home. However, as soon as you start to feel ill or uncomfortable because of the presence of your pet, you need to take action. After all, your health should be a priority so that you can better care for your pet.

Cat allergies - The How To of Cat Eye Care

p>Cat eye care is part of the responsibility of owning a cat. But it is not something that will take up a lot of time (if any). The best care you can provide is to educate yourself with the symptoms you cat may exhibit that will need the care of a veterinarian. When you look at your cat s eyes they should be clear and cat allergies when you see the outer part of the eyeball it should be white.

When you see some of these additional symptoms, it is time for a trip to the vet to ensure your pet is receiving the best cat eye care possible. If the eyeball itself (not the iris) appears red instead of white, if the surface of the cat s eye appears milky or cloudy instead of clear and cat allergies glassy, if there is a watery or other type of discharge coming from the cat s eye or tear duct, or if the nictating membrane (commonly referred to as the third eyelid) is visible and cat allergies starting to come across the eye.

When you have your vet appointment, the doctor will do an examination of the cat and cat allergies most likely prescribe eye drops or an ointment for your cat eye care to continue at home. When administering either it is best to have someone on hand to help you restrain the cat swaddling the cat (like a baby) in a towel works well and cat allergies prevents you or your helper from getting scratched. Clean the cat s eye of any discharge or mucous, hold the eyelid open and cat allergies put the drops in the middle of the eye. Release the cat and cat allergies when it starts to blink, the medication will be moved around the eye.

Owning a Cat: (Cat allergies) 8 Things to Consider

p>Before getting a cat, make sure you know what you are letting yourself in for. Despite their perceived independence, cats do need looking after. Here are some things to consider:

1. Your cat can live for up to 20 years. Can you offer continued love and cat allergies attention for that period of time? remember, as your cat gets older, so do you. They need looking after as they age, just like we do.

2. Where will you be in 5, 10 or 15 years time? Will there be room in your life for a cat?

3. Can you afford the veterinary fees if your cat gets ill? Yearly check-ups are the minimum and cat allergies your cat will need regular vaccinations and cat allergies should, ideally, be neutered.

4. You cat will need de-fleaing, de-worming and cat allergies other routine health maintenance. This all cost time and cat allergies money.

5. What will happen to your cat when you go on holiday or visiting friends? Catteries cost money and cat allergies there may not always be friends that can help.

6. Feeding your cat will cost a minimum of $10 per week. Can you afford this expense throughout the life of your cat?

7. Additional items may be needed - a litter tray, bedding, bowls, collars, cat toys and cat allergies special treats; have you got the room and cat allergies the money to provide these?

8. Some cats need additional treatments- for example, a long haired cat may need regular grooming; is this a commitment you are prepared to provide?

Owning a cat is a lifelong experience. We all want cats to have a good home and cat allergies a good life. Make sure, however, that you can provide that for your cat, before you buy.
